.جاء رجل الي الحسن البصري وقال له : ان السماء لم تمطر
فقال له الحسن : استغفر الله
ثم جائه آخر فقال له : اشكو الفقر!!
فقال له : استغفر الله
ثم جائه ثالث فقال له: امراتي عاقر لا تلد!!
فقال له : استغفر الله
ثم جائه بعد ذالك من قال له : اجدبت الارض فلم تنبت
فقال له : استغفر الله
فقال الحاضرون للحسن البصري : عجبنا لك او كلما جاءك شاك قلت له استغفر الله؟
فقال لهم : وما قرأتم قوله تعالى:
(فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا * يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارًا*
وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ أَنْهَارًا) نوح:10ء12
